We are thrilled to share the success of our recent Annual Benefit Dinner held on May 1, 2024, at the exquisite Joseph D. Carrier Art Gallery, Columbus Centre. The evening was a celebration of generosity and inspiration, all in support of Southdown’s mission to provide integrated holistic programs and services to ordained clergy, women and men religious, lay pastoral ministers, and other people of faith.

The evening began with a delightful reception, where guests were warmly greeted with smiles and camaraderie. Laughter and conversation filled the air as they enjoyed hors d’oeuvres, creating an atmosphere of warmth and inclusivity that set the stage for an evening of elegance and heartfelt generosity.
Inspiring Testimonials and Reflections
During dinner, two heartfelt testimonials underscored the enduring benefit and essential need for the transformative programs and services offered by Southdown to ordained clergy, and women and men religious. The evening’s guest speaker, His Grace Archbishop Francis Leo, delivered a moving reflection on the Gospel passage John 10:10, emphasizing the significance of abundant life and compassion in our community.

A Culinary Delight
Guests were treated to a sumptuous dinner served in the elegant surroundings of the art gallery, enhancing the sense of community and shared purpose among all present. The carefully planned menu featured a delectable selection of dishes, each a testament to culinary artistry and local flavours. Against the backdrop of soft piano music, the ambiance of the gallery added an extra layer of sophistication and inspiration to the evening.
