Developing Values for Priestly Ministry
In our continuing effort to assist priests in Canada to reflect on our lives, our work and the uniqueness of our call, we are pleased to present The Priest as Servant Leader. This document represents many hours of work and discussion, much of which has evolved from continued reflection and study of A Practical Guide to Priestly Wellness.
It is our collective understanding that while as priests we can look to other professions for valuable contributions to our understanding of professionalism, it is imperative that we define professionalism from our own perspective. We believe that key to any discussion of the five values identified in The Priest as Servant Leader is the need for priests to speak with one another as brothers, sharing our lived experience.
